The menu here is designed to highlight the heart and soul of Korean cuisine. Kalbijjim, or braised short ribs, is a standout dish. The tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs are slow-cooked in a savory sauce made with soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and a secret blend of spices, resulting in a perfectly balanced and rich flavor. Served alongside a generous portion of steamed rice and fresh vegetables, this dish is an absolute must-try.

The beef soup, another popular item on the menu, is equally impressive. A bowl of this comforting soup warms you up from the inside out. • Stopped in to order the infamous kalbijim. Decided to get the kalbijim with oxtail (medium spicy level), extra meat, noodles, rice cake, and purple rice. It was kinda pricey but it was a hefty portion (felt like about 10 lbs). It normally feeds 3-4 people according to the staff. It came with some boncon, kimchee, green onion kimchee, and radish kimchee. The short ribs were extremely tender and flavorful. The oxtail was also tender but not as flavorful as the short ribs. So 2 of us shared this and we still had enough for basically 3 more servings. So in actuality price was ok. My mom tried it and she liked it and asked where we bought it from. Overall good food, and while I like oxtail I think next time I'll just get the short ribs.

  • The best beef you'll get anywhere in town. Their seafood beef soup was so tasty that we always get it. And their Kalbijjim with cheese is not only a treat to your stomach, but a treat to your eye too. We used to go to their Japantown location all the time, but we are so glad they open this second location in Ocean View.

  • Of course we had to order the Kalbijjim (갈비찜), considering that it was our first time here. The wait wasn't too long, being no longer than 30 minutes for such a large/sharable portion (see images). It was enough food for us not to be able to finish in one sitting, again, a very generous portion. The beef, rice, and sides, everything was absolutely delicious. I'm not too familiar with pricing when it comes to Korean cuisine, but this was priced at $82 (regular size), apparently there's a larger size... The food court was very lively, which was enjoyable to eat in. A bit of a loud environment, but not too loud to a point where we were yelling to hear each other.

  • Combination oxtail soup and dolsot bibimbap were incredible. The tendon pieces were perfectly cooked and the broth was milky and delicious. The bibimbap had great crispy bits and a Smokey smell. Honestly, eating this in the H-Mart food court just adds to the experience. The woman at the front was very friendly and always wore a smile. Great food and great workers.

  • This is my favorite shop in H Mart food hall. They have good quality of traditional Korean Beef Rib Soup and Bone Soup. First time ordered beef rib soup noodle and noodle it’s chewy and taste better than ramen. Soup base has beef bone aroma too. Highly recommended

  • It feels like I’ve written reviews for every Daeho location! I’ve been to them all! I sometimes order takeout from the H-Mart location because it’s close to my house. I don’t know how they manage it, but Daeho’s food tastes consistent across all their locations! There’s no specific branch that’s better or worse—they’re truly all the same! This really shows the importance of good management! Today, our menu consisted of Spicy Short Rib Soup and Beef Tripe Soup!
